Walnut liqueur
1 litre Metaxa 3-star or another cognac
10 green walnuts, with outer skins, about the size of a full-grown ripe walnut (usually found until the end of june)
A handful of cloves
200-250 g sugar
150 ml wter
Allow the walnuts and cloves to steep in the liquer for 2 months. Boil the sugar and water until the sugar is dissolved. Cool. Strain the liquer, add the sugar syrup, then bottle.
